I grew up in New York City, and have since lived and worked in London, Tokyo, West Africa, Fiji, and Serbia. I built my own hut out of mud and sticks and lived in it in West Africa, spoke at a United Nations conference about my cross-cultural technology research and development, and have worked for the the Union Bank of Switzerland in New York, the Peace Corps in West Africa, REUTERS in London, Museum for African Art in New York, the Rhode Island School of Design, the University of the South Pacific in Fiji, and the Children's Discovery Centre in London, as well as a series of cross-cultural interventions for the US Embassy in Serbia.

I have over a decade experience designing flexible processes and products for dramatically diverse cultures, and identifying cultural, organizational, and industry 'blind spots.' Although my core competency is research and development for interactive environments and digital products, I am accomplished in a wide variety of skills. I have led design, development, and research teams, spoken at conferences and published internationally, can create finely crafted work with my hands using wood and metal as well as knock out quick but functional mechanical, sensing, robotic and interactive prototypes. Experienced with video-editing, basic 2D and 3D animation, xml, mySQL, php, flash, etc. as well as rapid prototyping and laser cutters, and am an accomplished animator/ facilitator and collaborative/ action researcher.

I have an MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and currently split my time between New York and Serbia.
